2012 Honda Civic Si

I used to own a 2009 Honda Civic Si 4 door and I love the car. I loved the horsepower, handling, looks and most of all sound from exhaust. However one thing it was lacking was torque especially in the summer time when it’s hot with air on. 2011 Honda Civic Si engine is K20 197hp and 139 torque

Now there are some great deals on the remaining 2011 Honda Civic Si models and I am not sure if I want to buy it, because I have heard that new 2012 Honda Civic should have a Acura TSX engine K24 which has 201hp and 179 torque. I hope Honda will not increase the weight on the car. If this rumour is true this will be an amazing little sport car.

End a Lease

Before you transfer the lease contract into your name you should check at least five things we recommend so that you don’t get penalized at the end of the leasing contract. 1. Review a leasing contract to find out what type of lease it is. (Closed-end lease or Open-end lease)
2. Review a leasing contract for total amount of kilometres allowed for duration of the lease.
3. Check the vehicle for dents, scratches, windshield chips/cracks, tires, chipped wheels, and etc. ( get vehicle inspected by proffesional)
4. Wear and tear insurance can save you money at the end of the lease. Check if this insurance was bought and if it is transferable.
(Wear and tear insurance doesn’t apply to you if the vehicle is under business name).
5. Check with preferred dealer for administration fees you will have to pay when transferring a lease contract into your name. (average $399 to $699)

Car Insurance

I would suggest before shopping for a used or new vehicle to check the car insurance. There are few things you should know. If you are leasing a vehicle you can’t have basic insurance and you have to be fully covered and sometimes with some financial companies as well. People always ask me so how much is my insurance going to be what do you think. Of course that is not something I can answear, but I can tell you that you car insurace will depend most on where you live, driving record, type of the vehicle you are buying, what driving license you posses and how long you have been driving.  When it comes to budgeting for a new/used car the best thing I would suggest is to set a budget for a vehicle, gas, and car insurance. You might be surprised but you can find your self paying $200/m for the car, $300/m for the insurance and $400 for the gas. Please leave me your questions or comments. Thanks.

Carproof vehicle history report

Carproof is currently the most comprehensive Canada and USA vehicle history report. When you are at the dealership looking to buy a used vehicle you have to check this report. Check that it was printed recently and that VIN# of the vehicle matches the Carproof report. VIN# of the vehicle is the specific ID for that particular vehicle and can be easily found on the windshield or drivers side door. Make sure to ask all the question in the Carproof report if you don’t understand what it means. Sales people or used car manager are the professionals and they should know the answers.  If you would like to know more about Carproof please leave a comment or a question. Thanks.

Should you buy a used or new car?

This is the question I face everyday at work and my answer is the same every time. If you are looking from financial point of view used car is your better solution, however you have to educate your self about buying a used vehicle. Find out what the market value is for the vehicle you are looking to purchase. Make sure to ask for Carproof which is currently the most comprehensive vehicle history report. Drive the vehicle and listen to unusual sounds and check for uneven paint on the vehicle. The list can go on and that is why most of people get a new car, however if you need my help just post a comment or question and I will be more than glad to help.

If you need help to buy a new or used car in Toronto and GTA I can defenatly help.
