End a Lease

Before you transfer the lease contract into your name you should check at least five things we recommend so that you don't get penalized at the end of the leasing contract.

1. Review a leasing contract to find out what type of lease it is. (Closed-end lease or Open-end lease)
2. Review a leasing contract for total amount of kilometres allowed for duration of the lease.
3. Check the vehicle for dents, scratches, windshield chips/cracks, tires, chipped wheels, and etc.
4. Wear and tear insurance can save you money at the end of the lease. Check if this insurance was bought and if it is transferable.
(Wear and tear insurance doesn't apply to you if the vehicle is under business name).
5. Check with preferred dealer for administration fees you will have to pay to transfer leasing contract into your name.
